Mocha

by Candece Cooper - Taurus

My mocha skin is all I need to see the world as mine. The clouds as mine, the moon as mine, even the night sky.
Sometimes I sit and wonder why my skin is mocha instead of sugary sweet white. Well, what stands out in the coffee, the coffee's color or it's creme?
My mama told me it's just fine to be this way. The sun don't burn it, the moon don't bleach it as the stars know night from day.
My mocha is like chocolate, sweet on your tongue. Tingles when its going down, but satisfying when you're done.
It's like firecrackers on the 4th of July, dominating the sky. Like the waves on the ocean maybe, softly rolling over the sand.
Sweet but sour, but definitely the pick of the bunch.
My mocha skin is all I need.
