Female Sky

by Candece Cooper - Taurus

The sky cried one night when the whole world was asleep. All the world, except for me, or at least that's how it seemed to be. It was so different from something we call rain, which smells nice afterwards. This was a cry of rage and fiery & stuff some people understood. She crimpled over & got sick from crying so hard, her face turned colors like gray.
The sky smiled one day when we all were so sad. She smiled & brightened up our days when things were going so bad. Smiled & blushed like a little girl surrounded by flowers which whispered & told her how radiant her dress was.
The sky looked soft, smelled of flowers & sunshine & clouds to hold under your head. Looked as pure as the cotton nearly grown in the field or cotton candy sticking to your fingers.
The sky was understanding & understood why snow flakes were soft, why the sun was so bright & rain clouds heavy. She understood her strengths as well as her weaknesses.
Female sky, you are my foe & my friend. You are woman, as am I. Your first-born was the moon, the second the sun.
Then their offspring were the clouds.
