Sympathizing with Fame

by Henry Hudson - Virgo

I dropped the time before I broke
screamed at nothing when the toad croaked
saw the lights of a burning village smoke
drank the milk of a delivering stoke
wondered why I began to gloat
if only I lived like an over-used joke
and wore a spray-painted red fur coat
and danced on deck of a paparatzi boat
and never passed an insult with any word I wrote
and lost all privacy and dug a moat
knowing all those who know me is my antidote
able to love those who love me is more than fame ever spoke

Reason for writing:

    monkeys jumping on my bed
