a smashing pumpkins-style poem

by Antwan Fields - Aries

everywhere ive walked ive been thinking of you
the killer stalks me loudly
the world remains a vampire, holding you up to the flame
burn me and bury me
and i shakedown but not to 1979
wordplay begins and we try to outshine eachother
working on today forgetting for a moment tomorrow
killer in me makes me want to get back to you
close the door and look out my window
and what ive done i must now do
throw down the guitars and walk off stage
forever.

Reason for writing:

i have a band im trying to get off the ground. we're a lot like the pumpkins
but also like pansy division(most of us are gay or bi. our dj is straight)
we have three guitars, a drummer, a keyboardist, and our dj, DJ JG.HOWEVER, I WAS SADDENED by the pumpkins demise. (and i loved billy corgan, but not that way)
so here's a little dedication that sounds like gibberish.
