she lied naked in the bath arms wrapped around her aching belly darkness had fallen like a stumbling drunk in a slick alleyway the phone sat on the edge of the sink when a blonde-haired mute rang on the other end i scratched her fevered head as she wimpered and dried her crying flesh crawled into my shirt and slithered into bed i watched her 'til she was absolutely still i tiptoed across scattered dresses and beat up towels left her a note on her night-stool "i stayed til you fell asleep, sorry i couldnt do more, love you." this was midnight i crept out the door with a lil bearded help "i think you made her feel better" i tipped my hat and leftBirth sign: Pisces
