You were here for a brief time; An angel from Heaven above; During the time that you were here; We knew what it meant to love. God doesn’t let His angels stay long; And soon He took you home; Before you left we all knew love; Never once did our hearts roam. You taught us the meaning of love; You brought contentment and joy; There was no deceit or pretense with you; To you a heart was no toy. You loved us all and we loved you; Nobody could ask for better than you; Up to the day that God took you home; We knew your love was true. An angel paid us a visit in ‘73; No trouble did you rile; Instead during the time that you were here; You taught our hearts to smile.
