If I Can Change A Life

All I have ever wanted to do was write;
It’s as natural to me as sleep;
I love the ability I have;
To make others laugh or weep.

If I can touch another’s heart;
By opening up my soul;
Then that’s exactly what I’ll do;
I really love that role.

I may never win a Pulitzer;
Or a Nobel Prize for Peace;
It’s award enough for me;
If I can help another’s pain to ease.

If I can touch another’s life;
If I can change it in a positive way;
Then I have done my part;
And I hope to do so every day.
