3 Days

by Charles Mathew Tyner III - Scorpio

A week before I leave, I can't get through to you.
A day before I go, to talk to you, there's nothing I wouldn't do.
An hour before I walk through the door, I wait for your call.
I'm leaving now, we can't be after all.

First day on this ride, you're still on my mind.
Every minute of every hour, I'm hoping that you'll find the time...
To call me and hopefully say that we can give this a try.
Cause I swear I'll never want anyone else ever again in life.

Second day on this trip, you're slipping farther and farther away.
I don't know what to do and I don't know what to say.
I'm missing you more and more as the time continues to pass.
Cause I promised to give you a love that forever will last.

Last day on this tour, I'm almost at my new home.
I'm having regrets about leaving and I'm sorry I left you alone.
But if you'll just stick with me and help me see this through.
I swear upon my essense that I'll return to you.

Are you there?

Reason for writing:

Moving from California to Pennsylvania. Thinking about my soulmate and only love on the trip. To everyone who read this poem before I changed it, I'm sorry, there was a conflict that I had to resolve in it.
