sadness pours from my lips this night
in aid to entertain those who don't seem to feel
i lost my hope
my happiness
my life
within a single year
yet there was a moment where i could breathe
a little more
where i could live
a little here
it all drowned out with a single sip
of a dream i had wished since childhood
i thought i could be happy
for once
for a single second
now i'm in a daze
searching my life more
dancing around in my sadness
trying to entertain those i thought loved me
trying to make them come back
