I remember in February we were having a lot of problems You had told me that you wanted to take a break from the relationship So I agreed, and sat around for weeks, miserable and missing you like crazy. When you finally had gotten over your problems You came and asked for me back But I refused and called you a player Telling you that love is what you lacked. The next day when I walked through the door On the floor, I found a rose I picked it up and opened the card and this is what it exposed "#1: This is for all the times I kept your day from being bright. " I wasn't sure of your intentions For from you, I've never received flowers before And in my mind I made it clear That I more than likely wouldn't be receiving anymore. I called you that evening And not a word about it was said But with what happened today I convinced myself that I, you did love And I gladly took you back, pushing the relationship ahead. The next day when I walked through the door On the floor, I found another rose I picked it up and opened the card and this is what it exposed. " #2: Forget all the problems we've had, they're in the past where they belong. This rose is to celebrate a new beginning. " It brought a smile to my face And I was liking all of the great treatment It made me feel that you were really going to stay forever It added to the meaning of our commitment. The next day when I walked through the door On the floor, I found not a rose But just a card, and this is what it exposed. " #3: I was wrong to have made a break in our relationship and then try to win it back with gifts, for it didn't bring me closer to you, it brought me farther away. Good - bye my angel." The roses have dried, and now rest, encased in a golden candy box The two messages on the card, forsaken I opened the lid and smelled the scent of dried roses And I set free my heart, which had been locked away and you had taken. The box now lays confined under my bed To collect dust from the future years And the lid covered with brightly colored paper Stained, from my last tears.Birth sign: Pisces
