These Wants, These Needs
That emptiness felling which only a man or woman can fulfill
These feelings which you know aren’t in God’s will
Insecurities that make you want a man or woman to make you feel good
These wants, these needs in which you never understood
Never really cared for them, you would do it just because you could
Lord remove this these wants, these needs in your name
Just walking down the street and you accepted temptations as they came
You find yourself starting to feel those wants, those needs
Just like that you find yourself saying “lord forgive me Please”
How do you deal with certain wants and needs such as these
With some people I only ask for friendships and they somehow end up like this
From a hug, then a kiss, then love
O’lord, What did I always seem to miss
Then I find myself going out just to mingle
Old friends seem to sense when you’re weak and single
These wants, these needs hanging around in my head
A phone call or even a look always leads to the bed
I get in trouble from some of the things that I say
Here I am wondering why I did it again
For Jermaine to pass it by, I anticipate on such a day.
