I Began To Fall By: Ann M. Hampton My life is like a waterfall- Starting at the top with no way to fall. Then, one day, I met a love so true; I can't help the way I feel inside-- I began falling for you. One word at a time, you pulled at my heart. And, at the time, you pulled, I just fell apart. For the words came slow at first, And suddenly I began to fall And out poured the words That I have kept hidden-- Forming an imaginated wall. You took the time. You broke down the wall. You did it with each little call. You would call each night About nine or ten To just remind me, I always have a friend. So kind and caring, Our friendship grew. Until, one day, our love Turned out to be true. It all started one day with lunch And a hug in the hall, I thought you said, You'd never let me fall? For I began falling; You had me at hello. I just hope you never let me go. My heart couldn't take being broken again, Or if... I had to go through Losing another friend. So as I write these words on paper, And tell you what I think when you call, It was at hello that I began to fall.
