The Words That Fail Me By: Ann M. Hampton You're always wanting to know the reason I picked you-WHY? And when I'm in yoiur arms, I began to cry. You make me happy in ways I can't explain And, at times, I think of walking with you in the rain. The rain of life: The good and the bad-- The happy and even The sad. You're so understanding And try not to push. Time is on our side, And our love should have nothing to hide. But when I'm with you, Words-Flow them not For many times, I have often sought The words to tell you how I feel, A chance to show you my love is real. The gentle touch of your hand on my cheek. The warm gentle touch of your lips on my nose. When love begins, This is how it goes. Your arms wrapped around me holding me tight And youi softly whisper saying goodnight. You hold me all night and into the morn': It is at a time like this that a love is born. The candle by my bed Stays lit to let me know you're there To show you the way to where My love for you will be shared. One day, we together, hope to be A love so true, we hope to see. The rose has thorns that, surpass, we can. The secret of it all is to remain good friends, To communicate the words of love, And to give the wrods of hadred a shove. Let me place here the words That one day I will say to you The words that will grow to be true-- "I love you." So since the words won't flow when I speak, I will write them down, so I won't have to repeat. I just wish to tell you how I feel; I just want you to know my love for you is real. So as you go to sleep at night, Grab your teddy [bear] and hold it tight, Let it remind you of your time with me, And in a few days, it's you I hope to see.
