i watched my hero die before my eyes, getting grayer, weaker with each day. his eyes didn't shine as brightly those past few weeks,as they had in the past, i should have known i'd never see him alive again. i got the call in the middle of the nite, they did the best they could but.... you couldn't pull through.. tubes were stuck in your throat, a needle in your heart, blood on your chest. your body was cold but i held on, not wanting to let go, i kissed your forehead, praying that heaven was really a good place and you won't forget what you left behind. i'll never forget you dad or the things you tried to teach me, i'll tell my kids one day what a good man their grandpa was and how kind you were. i'll take them fishing, teach them how to play baseball and how to ride a bike, how to never give up or give in, stand up for themselves and how family comes before anything else.. but most of all, i'll love them the way you loved me, unconditionaly. i watched my hero die before my eyes, never wanting this day to come, my tears still fall, when i think of you. i just wanted you to know, i miss you, dad.Birth sign: Libra
