a light in my palms

Your skin is a grassy green 
With petal drop tears in your eyes
Your hair is the color of a summertime rose
Deep with many lies
But you shine so beautifully
And fragile at the same time
I try to tell someone 
But you say no and cry
Your vibrant wings
Lay by your side
And the amazing light it gives off
In the palms of my hands
I let you free
But you run back to me
I’m tired of my life
And you lay down and die
But the amazing light from your wings still stays
In the palms of my hands
