3 million dead (AFRICA)

by Bryan - Taurus

3 million souls
And over mud earth
3 million souls
And in try times again
3 million pasts
3 million to be's
3 million reasons
To handy a bored Angelino
For hasty connection... liquid crystal
3 million machetes
Itchy triggers and dapper daggers
Funded guns and pockets full first time
3 million spills
Scarlet river gutter towns
Walls witness
Bloody Africa so long
3 million transnationals
Greed milk hands on third world
Make a buck Amerika
Rich collar... not their ancestors
Never mind genocide global south
3 million imperialists
Tame to servitude
3 million screams
Muffled jungle
Media care less
3 million mediums
Ignore wire, write, or watch
Big name news initials
No newspapers... no bed time story
3 million mothers
Mother in millions
With fixed tear faces
Write epitaph here
3 million smiles
In toil uncertain
Wiped murder money
3 million Congo
3 million Africa
3 million World
3 million Humyn

Reason for writing:

This poem is about a horrid civil war in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It's being fueled by greedy multinational corporations trying to get their hands on a mineral mined there called tantalum. It's used for things like cellular phones and computer chips and is pretty valuble. 3 million have died and 7 neighboring countries are now involved.
