Water to Glass

by Samantha Lowe - Scorpio

Her eyes could melt glass
Her distant stare plagued by the tears of the many men caught inside
her vicious world
He never loved her/she never wanted her
Her parents split at the age of 9
Seperating her from the Perfect world
Laying down the first layer of water upon the ground in which she
walked
They taunted her beauty/they threatened her solid heart
Her fellow schoolmates accused her of bitter lies never spoken
Downrid her to the scum they walked upon
Watched and preyed upon every move she made
Freezing the water that laid beneath her feet into solid ice
He never loved her/they never stayed/they used
They became her world
Taking her voice, her joy, her life from her own hands
She now held nothing but what they could get
Her body was no longer hers but the insects who fed on her
Fed on her like some rare steak thrown into the trash
Molding the ice into glass
No one saw anything/no one took notice/no one expected
She woke up one morning
Tore her wrists with the pocket knife
Hung herself over the bed that stole her life
Her eyes no longer filled with chance.
