The days that go by that destroys your hopes The mornings that strive to reach a goal Yerning for the taste of something sweet Or that one song that makes you wait for the next beat Meeting of new people and the fear of joy and pain that makes your heart race And your mind move at a fast pace Floating around as if you had all the answers Embellishing in your own thoughts and fears While trying to cover your own tears Knowing others are watching while you drown Breaking the hearts of those who love you While worrying about the ones who break you in two Wanting something till it becomes the way of life Knowing you only wanted a bite Letting the past go and reaching for the new To only realize time and fate will be the clue
