To my friend, Shannon

by aimmum - Libra

With your sexy, sultry eyes,
that make all the girls blush.
Those words you whispered in their ears,
which others would call mush.

The heartache you hid beneth your skin,
which no-one else could see.
Those tears you cried alone in your room,
they wouldn't set you free.

I guess you felt alone and sad,
and thought no-one else could understand.
But that was so untrue dear friend,
I would of taken your shaking hand.

I can't imagine the pain you felt,
that night you decided it had to be done.
The sadness and pain inside your heart,
had taken all which was happy and fun.

Those words I heard which shocked us all,
were so hurtful and unfair,
Shannon took his life this morning,
he thought that no-one else would care.

No-one could believe this lie,
but the rumors were found true.
Everyone wished they could of helped,
but there was nothing anyone could do.

We all sat there in silence,
tears rolling down our face.
Praying and wishing you were still here,
but knowing you were in a happier place.

So I guess goodbye is all I can say,
remember your always in my heart.
Rest in happiness and peace dear Shannon,
for you and I will never be apart.
