Do not let the false phrase
I love you
Fall upon my ears-
Do not blindly accuse me
Of being your soulmate-
Let not the hallucination
Of forever and eternity be terms
To define your love for me.

The words I want to hear
Are real and substantial-
You care for my life
And are concerned about my day-
Show me your faith in me
And in yourself.
It is not highs and lows I'm concerned with-
It's the everyday I'm hoping
We can flourish in.
I want to hear
That it all seems to fit,
And tell me
You were never surprized
When we feel in more than love.
