A message in the Sky
Today I thought of you, I was gazing into the eastern sky and thought to myself is he thinking of me? So I looked up to a fluffy white cloud and ask a favor of it. I ask would it bring to you a hug from my arms to your body. The cloud said, "Sure I will, but how will I know who he is?" I told the cloud of your eyes and how they were of the deepest brown, like that of a bar of sweet chocolate, and your smile was of great and blissful beauty, as if your smile said your heart was happy. The cloud said, "But a lot of people have brown eyes and a beautiful smile, you must tell me more." So I began to tell the cloud of a tall handsome man that had big, strong hands to hold me with, and long legs to walk along beside me. And not only did you have wavy hair like the waves in the ocean, you were just a one of a kind man. The cloud smiled and said, "Yes that is a little better but tell me more of this man, tell me why should I travel so far away to deliver this hug from you to him?"
So I began to tell of the man that has made a difference in my life. I told the cloud of how no matter how sad I am you can lift me high off the ground and protect me from all that torments my mind. I told of the days we spent with one another on the beach as if no one else was around. How when the day became night you would place your arms around me so that my dreams would be peaceful and not of sadness. I even told of how when you made love to me that your heart would beat so rapidly and the look in your eyes as they peered into mine as if you completely connected with my heart and soul. And of course you know I told the cloud of how everyday you made me feel special and beautiful even when I know I am not.
The cloud let me talk of you for hours and I began to notice a smile forming in the cloud. So I ask why are you smiling at me for? The cloud said, " Because I remember him it took me a bit to realize who you were speaking of, he and I had a long talk just the other day." I said, "What did you and he speak to one another about?" The cloud said, " You see I was lost for a couple of days, I was sent to give someone a hug from many miles away. I was suppose to bring the hug to a young girl that was of great beauty, with red hair, and emerald green eyes that shined, and a smile of great intenseness, and he gave me specific directions to this special someone, yet when I arrived I found you in the night time, I was running late, and you were wishing upon the stars for your heart to be with the one you truely love and the look of sadness was on your face and I couldnt tell if your were the right one or not. I said to the cloud, "You mean he misses me as much as I miss him" The cloud said, "A few of my close friends in the night sky said you were wishing on the same star at the same time for your lives to be brought back together. So I got together with the stars, the sun, the clouds, and the moon, and we think it would be better if you go back to him and give him the hug yourself. You know it's more personal that way anyway." So the cloud went on about its way and promised to let you know that it found me and give to you the same message it gave to me.
If all the universe thinks we should be together maybe its time we quit fighting against all that is right and make the world go round a little more smoothly. What do you think? Be sure and let the Cloud know he will get the message back to me right away.
Reason for writing:
This is more a poem of sweet memories than a love poem. I base a lot of my inspiration on the feelings that surround my life.
