Back To The Beginning By: Ann M. Hampton There was a couple named Chris and Heather Who had a little boy as cute as he was he was named Zack. They broke up and Chris though he would die. Then along came a girl named Ann, And Chris' heart skipped a beat, For Ann was nice and sweet. They had fun with the time they shared. She had long, reddish-brown hair, Blue eyes were her best feature, For it relected inside that she was a beautiful creature. But then two months later Chris decided to leave her Saying that their relationship he thought he was ready for, He was not. But in Ann's eyes, Chirs was the man she had sought. Ann's eyes turned into oceans of blue When Chris said they would go from one to two. The drive home that night Brough many tears, The memories with him would last for years. Friends they promised to reamin, From sex, he said, they must refrain. But she still wants him to Say her name. Still today they laugh, jok, and talk, And when she needs a hug, Chris is ther to show her still-- He really cares. He's ther ewhen she needs a shoulder to cryupon, Or a friend to escort her when she doesn't want to go alone. He helps her share the load By giving her advice. His logical thinking Is amazing in her eyes. Chris is a friend she doesn't plan to lose, For, in life, she's lost so much. Chris' touch of friendship She values and trusts. She still loves and misses his touch So much. For who know what the future will bring. In her eyes, she hopes one day, It will bring a diamond ring. Him to say her name To be one with her heart again. But for now, from the start, They are just friends. They are back to the beginning.
