the principles of submission

by madison - Scorpio

living in the shadows of the
apocalyptic hemispheres of
malcontent - banished to the
barrens of your love -

languishing riptide ebbing
the flow of my desire
into encapsulating shades
of gray-

darkness enfolds me
your eyes are but mine
and without them
i choose to see -
my weakness is your hunger
and you are starving -

choose to see that my
predilection for vampires
brought me
       straight into the
arms of one -
feeding off me like ticks
and
leeches feed from a vein

an armageddon winter
billowing the saddened
curtains of our past - the air
blowing in rank
with the odor of your
rotting
       premeditations -

a full-reel cinema of
regret washing
down the crow you eat -

without your eyes
i choose to see
the waste of what you are -
the one dimensional toddler toy
discarded in
the basement - the haircut one
has that leads them
to hide away any picture taken with it -
the rash
in a spot that turns one red when
spoken of -

without your eyes
i choose to
understand you once and for all -
i choose to
understand that your lonliness is
killing you
          and that your id will
gorge itself with the life of
whatever vibrancy you can
manipulate to you -
that your ego will flaunt itself
straight upon the weakness
of any
prey -

without your eyes
i choose to
see you as the predator
that you are -

salted earth and
sanded roads - sun-scorched
lizards and darting
tongues - Eden
       dismantling itself
to wash away
in the anointed waters of
the Tigris and Euphrates -

the first man blushing with the
remorse that
any part of him grew to be you.
