and this too shall pass

by Antwan Fields - Aries

yes, i still feel the fear
and the anger that courses into my blood continues to burn
the only thing the terrorists have won is
the everlasting animosity of america and the enmity of NATO
do not cheer what happened on sep.11
do not think for a second that this attack on america will not be avenged
and so shall america stand, even without the trade towers, which will return
a war has begun, that was declared upon us and we shall waste no time
life has returned to a surreal normalcy
that actually is not normal at all
so goes the destruction that plagues the u.s
so goes the loss of interwined lives
and this too shall pass, for america has become angered
grieve if you lost, but do not let this change your life
let your anger and helplessness become power and resolve.

"-we have awakened a sleeping giant and filled it with a terrible resolve."
-Admiral Yamomoto after the cowardly attack on pearl harbor that brought america into WW2.

Reason for writing:

    i had to write that.
