Simple Life

I've never had fad sex
And my life hasn't been transformed
By love.
I haven't submerged myself in an ocean
Of intensity.
I haven't done alot with my life
I've never been past the Rocky Mountains
Or the Mississippi river
I can never and haven't
Until I'm blue in face
I could hang my head in shame
When I line our lives up face to face
For I have such a simple
Mundain life
When we compare it this way.
I have a simple life
In this light-
But that all changes
When we turn off the light.
