Non-Sexual Love

by Nicole M. - Gemini

We stroked one another
With words
    I aroused your curiosity
I pushed your button of uncertainty
I moaned inside as we laughed in perfect thrusting motion
You settled desires I didn't recognize.

You kept your promise
Showed up right after the Rock and Kurt Angle finished their fighting
      Showered and made up
It wasn't even a date.
And for once
A guy wasn't a sexual thing to me
I was given something I wanted so badly
    I didn't even know it.

In the park
   Cold, wet grass
And moonlight lighting our path
    It wasn't romantic
I couldn't be happier.

Such a friend I didn't acknowledge I wanted
  You gave me completeness
     With a place of purpose
And for once
to a man I was genuinely wanted.

There's something that has to be left unsaid
About all that laughing and understanding
And the talking...someone finally wanted to hear
What I said.
