Eternal Tears

by tom witman - Aquarius

No eulogy will enlight
from the absolute silence
of the never ending darkness of night
    Condolence is a testimonial shroud
    of a memorialized concept
Used to solace the dire void of the bereaved mind
But hence there is no significant tribute
for the inevitable oblivion
and the state of existence we leave behind
No distant time will mourn
Nor will it remorse the somber discrete
of life that once was born
     Interment is a sacrilegious bed
     that imprisons immortality
As intervals evolve into perpetual sleep
For no fabled resurrection
sympathizes materialism
Though solemn are the tears thy eternally weep
