My Time

Fifteen minutes and a lifetime
With all these dogs
It's hard to believe that everyone would have it's day....
But you have to believe
Not everyone will stay in the spotlight
Just eventually move off to the side
   And be happy they've moved past that point.
Just a bistandard watching the friends drapped in white
   and my welcome mat brush itself
While I shield my eyes from the glare...
Waiting for my time
I'm only so patient.
