A tiny drop of water

A tiny drop of water

I was walking in the yard early that morning when I happen to notice a tiny drop of water lying in the petals of the morning glory still open to the morning light. It brought so many images to my mind but one in particular seem to be of importance to me, therefore I began to ponder on the idea that was turning inside my head. It was a comparison of how the tiny droplet of water represented life to the bloom of the vine. How it so closely related to the very miracle that was growing inside of me even as I was allowing the thought to ripen into a meaningful analogy of life itself that I knew would always be important to me. In order for the vine to produce the bloom that caught my attention that day, a seed had to come in contact with the earth and there begin a metamorphosis of creation. Just as a new life must begin with every creature and being on the earth. A period of time must be allowed for the vine to grow and become healthy enough to be able to produce the blooms for which makes the vine be so unique and pleasing for the eye to behold. The earth must in turn give nourishment to the vine to help it to become healthy and strong. Just as a mother does as she carries her new life within her own vessel. Once the vine is ready a small bud will begin to form indicating the arrival of something very magnificent and beautiful to come. This in the mother is the period of time her tiny seed is becoming its very own and one of a kind being, a time she feels closest to her child. And then within such a short period of time the bud is ready to open and become a bloom that holds such great beauty it must be seen and appreciated. Now is the time the mother is ready to meet what has been such a close part of her and now will be her reason for existence. And just as the bloom will open with the morning sun and accept the dew that it needs to survive, it to will close back again and be protected by the vine until the following morn. Just as with a mother that will feed and love her child and ever so gently bring that child to her as closely as possible to protect this new life with all that is within her until the little eyes are ready to open again and meet each new day. What a grand and elusive world this is that nature and life so closely mimic one another and yet often we never even notice that every day right before our eyes, a miracle of something new and full of hope is taking place.
