Leaving from stealing a man's honor
And breaking a long disinagrated seal
Of each other...
The longer the wheels were moving
The longer time could stand still.
Thoughts of shame and humility
Were gagged by indifference,
And then after they spit them out
I kept turning the volume knob
Trying to drowned these thoughts out.
For brief flicks of thought
Came passing in my mind
But a turn to the right
And there were ushered right out.
I finally reached my destination
The shouting and music too loud
For me to even hear the screaming doubt.
I was concentrating so hard
On not thinking
I passed right by that red octagon,
Not even blinking.
The semi-truck never had a chance to slow down-
I never even heard his horn,
Just stared into the split spots of lights you're suppose to walk to.
. . . .
. . . .
. . . .
Is there life after death...
Not really...I wouldn't call it living...
You're stuck in the moment right before you would die,
While the rest of the world moved on.
You simulatiously exist
But only partially...
Both dimensions occupy the same space
But not the same time-
My life is now stumpted
But I still write,
and this poem will eventually
Catch up with life.
