If love was to leave

by Vicki Higgins - Cancer

If love was to leave,
And my heart was to die,
I'd stand outside your house,
And ask of you why.

I would linger for years,
And hope that you'd come,
And wish all the hurt,
And the pain was undone.

You'd take all my joy,
And the air that i breathe.
You'd take all the smiles,
And all that i need.

Without you i'd die,
And my heart wouldnt work.
My life would be empty,
And living would hurt.

Without you, My love,
I just couldnt' survive.
You keep my lungs breathing,
And my love is alive.

So, my love,
I think you can see,
That i love you and need you
To feel the same about me.
