Surrounded by packing popcorn
My mind seeped out into them.
I tried to forwarn
But you opened me anyway.
that wasn't the hard part
A pull here
a tug there
And plenty of strategical slits
exposed, I let you see
just the popcorn packaging
that was laced with my mind
But it didn't discourage you-
You began taking handfuls out
Dropping them in the nearest stagnet puddle-
knowing there was actually something:
Not falling for my protective deception
Light and airy
Others have opened
Others have searched
but they never removed
others forced and settled
Somehow you felt more than
my
packing popcorn mind.
