A Strangers Intervention

by Dark Angel - Pisces

You left without a word spoken
Slipped right out your window in the middle of the night
Cold, snowing, wind blowing hard
You didn't care, just wanted to take flight.

City lights lighting your way
As you walked to the corner of maple street
Looking for a warm place to stay
Climbing into a car with the first person you meet.

Lucky you were to have met someone good
They offered you a nice meal and a warm bed
Slipping out in the morning before anyone was awake
On with your journey you went ahead.

Not knowing where you were going
You just had to get away from this place
A lonely girl with no hope in the world
Stumbling through the cold with tears froze to her face.

Months gone by but her friends and family still search
For the lonely heart who snuck out that night
She said she was only leaving for a little while to find herself
And to make everything wrong in her life right.

Little did she know on her way home
The man who took her in this time did not have good intentions
A life she once had right before her eyes
Was taken away by a strangers intervention.
