the incessant buzzing of a bee

by madison - Scorpio

it happens sometimes...

you meet someone and
suddenly you realize -
he fills a place that noone else
ever has -
because you've never allowed anyone else there

it's like...
breathing for the first time
after you realize you weren't breathing before-
the smell of a fresh spring rain
and everything black and white
becoming that rainbow -
and you're so close, so damn close
to reaching that rainbow -

and suddenly the spectrum

         e e
           v t s
             a a
               p r
                 o

diminishing beauty
              into the sky

late night conversations
inuendos
baring of souls
fruition of everything you both need -
filling what someone else
couldn't or wouldn't or just fucking didn't
all of it vanishes -
ripping you open and bleeding you dry.

you're left right where you are
abandoned in memories that aren't supposed
to be memories -
and you're wondering what the hell happened

so you become an insomniac
aching,
longing,
trying to find oxygen...

until you reach that place
where you can safely store it away
maintaining sanity without letting go -
because you don't have to let go
because you know him -
he let you in
gave you a part of him that noone else has
ever had -
and
you
still
have
it

it matters not what he says
or doesn't say -
or how he tries to escape any
esscence or thought of you
you're there
and there's not another person
or another thing that can ever
reach that place again because
it's yours -
and he knows this
he lives with this

and it makes everything else that's happened
since -
a little less
than some fool themselves into believing...

so sleep angel
sleep.
