A New World

by Rick Boggs - Virgo

All the death,
All the screams,
I’m tired of these,
Shattered Dreams.

So here I go,
To the light,
Out of the darkness,
Out of the night.

Faster and faster,
I feel death’s powers,
And now he’s here,
Over me he towers.

I see the end,
Darkness at my feet,
I can’t lose now,
Not another defeat.

My newfound love,
My only powers,
Now I’m the one,
The one who towers.

Death is no match,
Anymore for me,
So this is it,
I found the key.

So now I walk,
To the end,
Happiness right there,
Around the bend.

An icy cave,
This is my place,
I can’t lose it,
Can’t make it waste.

I walk forward,
I feel the snow,
Under my feet,
This is my show.

The ice crystals,
Growing off the walls,
And farther in,
A girl’s voice calls.

I go farther in,
Standing there, I froze,
Laying in front of me,
There’s a crystal rose.

And now behind,
With all my tips,
I get a kiss,
On her sweet lips.

Reason for writing:

This is the beginning of my journey to see what love is like. On a Friday night, I saw this girl and I just fell in love. The problem was, I've never gone out with anybody my whole life, more that 16 years. The darkness is what my life was. I asked her out, and she said yes, but we would have to keep it a secret from her parents. Otherwise, I was free from my dark life. Or so I thought...
