A Parent's Ignorance

by Antwan Fields - Aries

what about the child who grows up to be a Klansman?
what about the child who kills because of mother?
what about the child that died in the chair?
what about the mother who killed her other?
the father of that klansman: it goes back generations
a parent's ignorance, raised to despise if not hate all blacks
they're all crooks! and pimps! and dope dealers!
all the qualities we have they lack!!
what about the lynching that they went through
hey, mother, father, that's all on you
ted bundy blamed his mother, that cannot slide
cause the bastard knew what he was doing, he just lied
and the people who killed matthew shepard, who taught them?
who made them do what they did to him? cause in the end
they sit upon death row, hopefully going to pay
welcome to hell, where its so hot titanium bends
the ignorance of others leads to things that are evil
and are wondered at right then
it turns around in a 180 right then
cause you know the level of ignorance when:
things like reginald denny happen after rodney king
and cincinatti after miami
for the last 200 years most races
have been getting the big salami
and its lame, it sucks, but with a parent's ignorance
gone from your mind
its time to put your brain to use
stop using your behind
lets stop using our parents' ignorance
lets watch as all that shit dies
lets uncover our heads and look into the day
and pull the veil from over our eyes.
