Rejected Love

by Rick Boggs - Virgo

I have the power,
I know what to say,
Now in my story,
Everything’s okay.

That’s what I wanted,
Everything to be alright,
But it came back,
The dark and night.

The crystal rose,
It has come back,
But with a change,
It has turned black.

Rejected love,
I don’t know why,
I open my mouth,
Only a sigh.

This false love,
Playing the game,
But that game,
I can not tame.

Don’t play the game,
The game will play you,
This saying is real,
This saying is true.

My first dance,
In 16 years,
Not anymore,
I shed no tears.

I look back,
Before I go,
Back at the love,
The one I loved so.

Shattered Dreams,
Back to my life,
But this heartache,
It’s like a knife.

I will not forget,
That one night,
I saw her face,
I thought I was right.

Her sweet laugh,
And her smile,
So far away,
More than a mile.

Back to death,
I will miss,
The one wish,
Just one kiss.

When is my time?
Who will it be?
That is the problem,
I guess I’ll see.

I look back,
All the things,
The sad music,
Once again, it rings.

The crystal rose,
So very weak,
Another love,
I must seek.

The dark maze,
At the end,
She will be there,
Around the bend.

I keep going,
Another dead end,
Farther in the maze,
A message these send.

All my poems,
The message is small,
To the one,
For now, to all.

Reason for writing:

On Homecoming weekend, it turns out my so called girlfriend rejected me. The night before the dance. I didn't go. So now, here I stand, once again single...
