Her Fear

by FireFly - Libra

Something sullen, deep distrust, to many dead ends-
Burgeoned beliefs in a small cage for an infant-
She never left it...she never disowned it-
Her fear transformed into pride and independence-

Options and doors flung open-
From youth to her elderly age-
She closed all of them...why is her fear so strong?
And time fell down from the skies like thousands of meteorites-
And each she saw, she saw the beauty-
Entranced and incensed she does nothing with it-
With each blink she let each one slip-

With what rational, logic, emotion, reasoning, philosophy-
Religion, could she use as a prism to peer through-

And I’m her son...her flesh and blood-
I have no answers-
