I'm only 20 years old and a United States Marine. If I die in this war, I hope that it is clean. Bury me with my medals pinned upon my chest. Tell my loved ones that I did my best. My family has been there through good and bad. And even at those times when I felt sad. If I die, know that I died free Fighting for my family and country. If you have seen what I have seen then you would understand me. Everything I have done has been faithfully. For the Marine Corps, I have a lot of pride and dedication. If I die, it will be protecting my nation. When I die, I will still be a warrior, but in Angel form. Fighting the battle between the good and evil swarm. But most of all when you are cold, I'll be by your side keeping you warm.
Reason for writing:
November 10, 1775 is the Marine Corps Birthday. This year of our Lord is the 226th Anniversary. We celebrate this holiday as if it were the most important one of our lives. This poem is for my fellow Marines.
