Looking up,
wondering why that plane is flying so low,
Oh my,
it just slammed into the tower,
debris is falling,
covering me.
My eyes open to darkness,
body filled with pain,
something wet is dripping
down my face,
I can't move.
I hear sounds above me,
calling out for survivors,
somehow I manage to cry out,
it is enough,
they hear me.
Pulled from the debris,
the horrified look on
my rescuers faces,
as they take in my injuries.
At the hospital,
the nurse cries out,
doctor silently wonders why
I am still breathing.
Time has passed so slowly,
open my eyes again,
gaze up at my beloved,
he is crying and telling
me to hold on,
save my strength,
but alas,
I have none left.
With effort,
I squeeze his hand,
look into his eyes,
one last time,
make him promise,
to take care of our precious baby,
she will need him more than ever,
ask if he won't mind
if I look in on them
every once in a while.
He smiles his answer,
gives me love's last kiss.
It is time to go,
my angel is waiting,
to take me home,
Goodbye my love,
Take care of Isabella.
