In Predicting the Unpredictable

by Shellie - Taurus

Underneath the maple tree,
I dream of things I want to be.
Every day,
every hour,
every minute,
every second,
I long to know why me?
Looking up at the sky so blue,
I wonder if I¡¦m destined to live this through.
Do I have a choice
to not believe in fate
and cheat it for once?

Each night I wish
for peaceful slumber,
and when I wake,
I may find myself gone.
To make it in this world alone,
I sit here like some kind of stone.
No one to love me or me to love,
just all alone like a lonesome dove.

Lonely days plague my heart,
lonely nights linger in my soul.
Tears of hatred,
tears of resentment .
Is that what you want to know?
Is that what you care to see?

Smelling the grass so sweet,
refreshes me with a delightful treat.
Feeling the bark so rough,
makes me realize it¡¦s going to be tough.
I must find the courage to say,
¡§I will not give up.¡¨

Reason for writing:

Life is full of obstables and hardships...the important thing is to not give up.
