The box reminds me of your touch When your arms would encase my soul The lid reminds me of your thoughts Not afraid to spout anything your mind did hold. Once opened it reminds me of just that Your willingness to share, never did you hold back The sacks on top remind me of your baggage Something you never had, one thing you lacked. Inside the bags are reminders Symbols of your heart Under all this comes the big memory The one that's going to tear me apart. I take it out of its box and quickly assemble Sit back on the bed to admire its strength The branches remind me of you being there Never out of reach, always at an arms length. The lights remind me of your hope As I gently place them scattered around Your favorite song is playing on the radio My quiet sobs the only other thing causing sound. Once assembled and all done The lights go out for one quick glance Making this the very first Christmas without you Trying to be strong, knowing another with you I'd never get the chance. Our Christmas Tree proudly stands in its corner Showing me that hope is not gone And that I can let go of you without hesitation I just need a little boost of strength to move on.Birth sign: Pisces
