The Search for Desert Bliss

I am a harsh environment 
Made this way by hurt and disappointment 
So venture not without my consent 
For I am as unforgiving as I am resplendent. 

You can take off the layers 
Of superficial clothing that you wear 
You won't need them when you're near 
The searing heat of my air. 

You must walk for miles to find my oasis 
Or dig deep down to find where my water is 
Either way I'll bring you to your knees 
It’s the price to pay for Desert Bliss. 

This journey that you're about to start 
Won't be difficult if you play your part 
Equip yourself with love and a brave heart 
For I am a Desert.
