Can't Trust my Heart

it just hurts not knowing
exactly where we go from here
my heart is scared, only knowing
the fear of being hurt and weak
it hurts me not knowing
which direction we will go
with such confusion in my mind
i can't trust myself, anymore
i can never trust
these emotions in me again
i can never trust
what i feel again
to not feel the pain
which love brings
i can't allow myself
to trust my heart again
