The most celebrated season The winter's with snow and frost Celebrating the most religious holiday People praying to a God on a cross. So caught up in money issues What would make the perfect gift New snow tires for the vehicles Avoid the tow truck from giving you a lift. Cold evenings nestled against a fire Watching snow fall from behind the window frame While frosty's melting in the middle of the yard And the mornings are so glassy after it rains. We forget what this season also means It's brings with it the most suicides of the year Unable to remember with it comes loneliness Cold nights alone and heart felt tears. Hungry homeless people Frightened with no where to go Wishing they could experience a Merry Christmas Knew what it felt like to sit in the fire light's glow. Poor families who starve to pay gas bills Whom can only afford to go to a Good Will shop for clothes Whose parents both work jobs earning minimum wage But striving to keep their children happy have nothing left in the end to show. What about the elderly neighbors The ones without family to see during the holidays Ones who are locked away in nursing homes Wishing someone would stop by and see them, just for a day. Why call this the perfect season? A favorite to most anyone you ask All is great in a home of the fortunate But did you ever stop to think about those who can barely afford cardboard to cover their backs?Birth sign: Pisces
