Pages

by Vicki Higgins - Cancer

Pages of my life
Left to turn themselves
Wind blowing through them
Open on the shelves.

Pages of my life
Where are the highs? where are the lows?
Many and far between,
What would i have done without those?

Pages of my life
Sometimes so very lonely
Others so full of smiles.
sighs of the "if only"

Pages of my life
So fragile and so worn
A list of cries, smiles and dreams
Kisses and tears before and after dawn.

Pages of my life
Contained within the cover
Secrets of my darkest deeds
Of the heartache and the lover.

Pages of my life
Left to turn themselves
Wind blowing through them
Open on the shelves
