Finally back together, how it always should have been, John and Amy sat at the foot of the bed holding each other close while their eyes were pasted to the television screen. It had been almost nine months since the two of them had actually done anything together but as usual breakups are, you leave the person and wish to never see nor speak to them again. John held Amy tighter, causing her to move in closer while lying her head upon his shoulder. He looked at her and saw that her gaze was not caught up in the television show as he had thought but more out into her own world. He gently laid a kiss upon the top of her head and then proceeded to ask her a question. " Amy, do you still wear the ring I gave you?" She hesitated a moment and then said, "Yes. Why? Do you want it?" John laughed and gave a little grin, " No, that's not what I was getting at. It's just a really pretty ring. Sometimes I think about it. It could easily be the prettiest ring I've ever seen. When I had it here I couldn't stop staring at it." All was silent for a moment and then Amy asked, " Are you looking for another one already?" John let lose of his grip a little and stared into her eyes. " I have my interest, but none that great." Amy looked away, not knowing what to think. She then made herself ask something she wasn't sure she wanted to know the answer to. " For who?" John didn't hesitate and quickly spouted his answer. " Adrienne" Amy's gaze seemed to shoot further away with his answer. She then said, " Is this someone new?" John replied, "Nah, I've known her since I was 15. Adrienne Blum, I dated her before I dated Hilary." Amy's eyes filled with tears as a quiet whisper escaped from her lips. " Oh my God." She then turned to John and asked, " Isn't she the girl you used to talk so badly about when we were together before?" " Depends on how fresh the wound was. She worked an evil number on me when we broke up. I was pretty mad with her for a long time. I hadn't talked to her in over two years, until just the other day. She and I used to be so different, but we've both grown and changed so much. It appears that we've met in the middle. We're really good friends, she'll be coming back into town to visit me just after Christmas. She may stay here, I'm not too sure on that yet." Amy quietly got up from the floor and made her way to the window. She stood there for about five minutes and looked out the window to John's car. She saw him walking to his vehicle and just stared. He looked up from the driveway before openeing the door as if to say a final good-bye. A tear escaped from her cheek and a loud cry that was heard for miles. It wasn't a cry of rage that all could hear but that of the pain from her heart and a love that she knew she could never again have. A cry from her soul, to let all who heard know that she knew what true love was and is and that she'd never let go.Birth sign: Pisces
