Liars & Stealers

by ~Ms. Sarah~ - Cancer

After I've been deceived so many times
I see the truth, but dont open my eyes
I let it happen over and over again
Trusting and believing only to find
out they're not a friend
Only liars out for blood
Taking my poor naive heart in their
deadly grasp and running far away, never to return
Each time a little bit more of my heart goes and
usually I never get it back
So one day I'll be empty
Heartless, mean and uncompassionate
So sometimes I think its better to
be a bit dumb and gullible
So I'll never quit believing
I will always care
Always find the best in people
Not be turned dark and bitter
By people who lie, cheat and steal
