It always used to be Me always on my knees Looking down Instead of up Looking behind Instead of forward I guess now is the time I have to get it all together Change it all with just a sideward glance Starting now There's no more tears No holding on to exboyfriends Or past friendships no longer held Time for change of email Change of screen name Change of number Change of everything Starting now I'm no longer staying down Letting them treat me the way that they have I'm letting go of all the people always tying me down I'm no longer going to fear the coming day or closing night I'm being who I want to be And not letting them get to me So starting now January 1st, 2002 I am reborn Brand new.
Reason for writing:
Changing my life around. Letting go of the past. Welcoming my future. Simple as that. I don't think it all came out right but that's what I'm doing.
