A new Year

A new year, A new beginning
A time to start over, put the past behind me
Let go of all my sorrow and woe
I can forget about my troubles
Everything can be brand new
Find the happiness in life
And not be burdened with my problems
When the clock struck midnight
I felt a great weight lifted off my shoulders
I knew it was time to wipe the slate
clean and begin again
So i promised myself to be a lot more happy
Be free from worry or stress
To leave behind any sadness and laugh
to my hearts content
